Docking a Customer

The plaintiff says she hired the defendant to fix her dock. He took her money, began the work, and then took off. She later found out he was not licensed and was being sued. She’s suing for her money back. The defendant says he told the plaintiff he wasn’t licensed to perform certain tasks, so the plaintiff dumped his tools in the street. Then, the plaintiff says he rented garage space to the defendant, who still owes him money. He’s been dodging the plaintiff for months, so he’s being sued for the outstanding amount.
