Plus, the plaintiff purchased a car from the defendant, her former good friend. She says the friend turned around and told police the plaintiff stole the car, so the car was impounded. She’s suing because her personal property was in the vehicle when it was taken. The defendant argues the plaintiff took the car without paying, so he reported it stolen.
