The plaintiff says the defendant is his niece’s ex-husband. He claims the defendant cleaned out the couple’s joint bank account and stole $500 in cash he had given his niece, so he’s suing. The defendant claims his ex-wife took out $500 from their joint account without authorization, so he kept the cash from the plaintiff. He says they’re even now. Then, the plaintiff says he moved into the defendant’s home and her dogs attacked his cat, who subsequently died. He’s suing her for every penny of the vet bills. The defendant says she warned the plaintiff that her dogs had never been around cats, and moving in might be a bad idea, but he ignored her advice.
