438 - Carmen Beecher

Carmen Beecher is a real artist and is the most current guest on The Paul Leslie Hour. A talented painter and illustrator, she grew up in a small town in Florida. Beecher's work has been expressed through a variety of avenues: book illustrations, comic strips, magazine covers and murals. She also wrote and illustrated a children's book.

Carmen Beecher collaborated with Hall of Fame songwriter Bobby Braddock in creating the 2020 book COUNTRY MUSIC’S GREATEST LINES: Lyrics, Stories & Sketches from American Classics. The book is a close-up look of 81 beloved American country music songs. Each song is described in a short written essay by Braddock, the opposite page features an accompanying illustration by Beecher.

You'll meet this passionate visual artist who discusses her perspectives on creating the book and also her artistic background and more. It's all right here on The Paul Leslie Hour. Don't miss Carmen Beecher.
