Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns is an American treasure. He's directed and produced some of the most acclaimed documentaries covering everything from baseball to jazz and most recently the world of country music. Entitled "Country Music," the film is an 8-part miniseries currently airing on PBS. Along with archival footage, the film features new interviews with Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Marty Stuart, Charley Pride, Merle Haggard, Tom T. Hall, Trisha Yearwood, Loretta Lynn more than 100 in all. In this interview, we get to the heart of Ken's new documentary. It's a relaxed, but introspective look.
