197 - Livingston Taylor

Livingston Taylor is a singer-songwriter, pianist, guitarist and teacher. This interview was recorded in Taylor's hotel room prior to one of his concert performances at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Georgia. His career has included songwriting, performances and teaching, but he thinks of himself first and foremost as a teacher. His brothers and sisters Alex, James, Kate and Hugh Taylor have all recorded albums and performed. As a songwriter, he's written top-40 hits that he recorded as well as his brother James. He teaches a course called Stage Performance at the Berklee College of Music and wrote a book called Stage Performance.
