Tuesday marked the 156th anniversary of the first recorded hole-in-one in golf, achieved by Tom Morris Jnr at the Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Morris, only 18 years old at the time, was on his way to winning a second Open Championship, and had already been earmarked for one of the greatest careers in golfing history.
