Show Notes

Over 8,500 children living in the Liberties are without a green area to play sports in and despite constant local campaigning, there has been little or no progress on the issue.

Pat first spoke about the issue with JJ O'Mahony, Chairperson of the Sporting Liberties back in December. Also to discuss the impact of the lack of green spaces is having on the area was Tom Magee, President of Liberty Saints Rugby Club.

In February Pat visited the Liberties and spoke with a teacher from St Catherine's National School, Karen Jordan and Sienna, 16 year old girl who has no facilities to play sport and also Gail from the Oliver Bond Flats.
