Acweorna! Last night’s Rock Radio UK edition of The Paranoid Squirrel Rock Show has now been supercharged and fuel injected. Getting things underway are The Damned and a track taken from the band’s reunion DVD. The Dictators quickly follow suit with me finishing off the Gravy Boat story from last week, hence the band Gravy Train. “Fast” Eddie Clarke has a retrospective career defining box set due out so I air a track from it. A charity shop find has me playing a single that set me back a quid, then it’s onto “Covers Corner”. Jamie Oliver has reluctantly stepped away from UltraBomb, you can hear why along with a track from the band. Come October The MC5 are going to be inducted into The Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame which to me is at least 25 years too late. However, I play a track from the band’s up and coming new album.
