Shani Fleming spoke at our annual conference in Nashville this year, leading a discussion on cultural humility, and Sam invited her to discuss equity, diversity, and inclusion further on the orthoPAc. In part 2 of the discussion, Shani invites us to consider implicit bias.
Shani Fleming has devoted her career to promoting cultural competence and addressing social justice within the health care community. Fleming holds significant clinical experience as a physician assistant (PA), including working in family medicine, adolescent medicine, infectious disease, and urgent care.
She teaches in the University of Maryland Graduate School PA program and Intercultural Leadership certificate program. Fleming represents faculty of the Graduate School as a member of the President’s Diversity Advisory Council.
