A Sniper in the Tower
An interview with Gary Lavergne about The University of Texas Sniper --- When campus safety is compromised and a violent incident occurs, the impact to our society is deeply felt. Each incident, when studied, can offer a wealth of knowledge on how to best avoid the next potential tragedy. In this episode, Fred sits down with Gary Lavergne to discuss one of the first widely documented incidents... the 1966 University of Texas shooting rampage of Charles Whitman. Gary is the author of "A Sniper in the Tower" which according to a 2007 Associated Press article is "considered the definitive account of the massacre" and to The New York Times as "the authoritative account of the Whitman case".
