Show Notes

Good morning, folks! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Oklahoma Weather Podcast. It's Friday, February 23rd, and your weekend is looking gorgeous. Here's the deal. Step outside this morning and you'll feel something unfamiliar. Comfort. No ice scraper needed. No wind slapping you awake. Just a mild February morning easing into a beautiful day. Southwest Oklahoma is the warm kid in class today, climbing to 54 degrees with a gentle southeast breeze. That's the kind of afternoon where you crack the truck windows and enjoy it. Drive northeast toward Tulsa and you'll lose a few degrees. Up there you're topping out around 48 with a northeast wind keeping things honest. Oklahoma City splits the difference right at 50 degrees. Tonight stays cozy by February standards. Lows settle into the upper 30s to low 40s statewide. No frost. No drama. Just easy sleeping weather. Now here's your heads up for the weekend and beyond. Saturday brings sunshine and mid 50s across most of the state. Southwest Oklahoma flirts with 60 degrees. Sunday holds steady, though a weak front might shave a couple degrees off. Into next week, we ride this dry, mild pattern straight toward March. Highs hang in the 50s, lows mostly in the 30s. No storms lurking. Just a slow, steady warm up that feels like winter finally loosening its grip. Quick note on air quality. It's moderate today, so if you're sensitive, maybe keep the jog short. And here's something to smile about. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight every single day now. Sunrise at 6:33, sunset at 5:18. The light is coming back, folks. Alright. If you're enjoying these morning updates, share us with a friend who's always asking about the weather. Helps more Oklahomans find us. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Stay safe out there!
