Show Notes

Good morning, folks! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Ohio Weather Podcast. It's Wednesday, February 25th. Step outside right now and you'll feel that drizzle on your face. 37 degrees. Classic late February tease. Enjoy it.. Because tonight the rug gets pulled. Down in Cincinnati and Dayton, you're the winners today. Sunshine breaks through those early clouds and pushes you to 53 degrees by 3 P.M. That's jacket optional territory. Over in Columbus, the drizzle fades and sun takes over. You'll climb to 48 by mid afternoon. Now up in Cleveland, you're working harder for it. Partly sunny skies, topping out around 40 degrees. Still not bad for February. But here's the thing. A cold front barrels through tonight and the bottom drops out. Southwest Ohio plunges to 31 degrees by 5 A.M. Central Ohio sinks to 26. And Cleveland? You're staring at 22 degrees, feeling like 17 around 1 A.M. That's the kind of cold that makes your steering wheel feel like an ice block. Thursday bounces back. Southwest Ohio recovers to 48 with a chance of light snow before 1 P.M. Columbus hits 43 under mostly sunny skies. Cleveland reaches 34. Not glamorous, but manageable. Now the week ahead tells a real story. Friday and Saturday are gorgeous. Sunny skies, highs stretching from the upper 40s up north into the low 60s down south. Saturday might feel like early spring. Then Sunday.. The plot twist. A system rolls in Saturday night bringing rain and snow. Monday could drop 2 to 4 inches of accumulating snow in spots. Tuesday stays messy with lingering rain and snow chances. So you'll want to squeeze every drop of sunshine out of Friday and Saturday. Those two days are gifts. I'll be tracking that weekend system closely. See you right back here tomorrow morning. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!
