Show Notes

Good afternoon. Ohio. I'm Aaron Jolly. Fifty nine degrees under clear skies. Feels like March showed up three weeks early. but don't pack away the parka yet. A cold front is currently slicing through the state, acting like a trap door. All this mild air gets shoved out tonight as reality crashes back in. In the next 24 hours. Here's what's happening right now. Southwest Ohio is soaking up the best of it, topping out at 62 degrees. Central Ohio is sitting pretty at 56. but push northeast toward Cleveland and Akron. and you're already feeling the chill at 46 degrees, with temperatures tumbling faster this afternoon. Tonight brings a quick hit of winter. Northeast Ohio sees snow showers developing after 6 P.M. Those peak around 1 A.M. With less than an inch expected—just enough to make the pavement slick. Central Ohio catches a brief rain-snow mix between 11 P.M. and 3 A.M. Down in the southwest, look for a quick rain shower around 9 P.M. Sunday morning is going to bite. Wind chills drop to 19 degrees in the northeast, 20 in central Ohio. and 28 in the southwest. Highs on Sunday only reach 30 in the northeast, 39 in central Ohio. and 45 in the southwest. North winds at 10 to 12 miles an hour will make it feel raw all day. But here's the plot twist. The cold doesn't stick. Starting Tuesday, a warm front lifts north and temperatures surge. We're talking 50s, then 60s, pushing toward 70 degrees by Friday. The trade-off is rain. Multiple rounds move in Tuesday through next weekend, totaling one to two inches. Some nuisance flooding is possible, though a few parts of the state could actually use the drink. Today is your last mild day for a while. Make it count. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Stay safe, stay prepared. and enjoy the day.
