Your evening North Carolina weather update
Dry conditions and gusty winds are creating elevated fire danger across central North Carolina today. The National Weather Service has issued Special Weather Statements for the Piedmont and Triangle regions, where humidity levels are dropping to just 25 to 30 percent this afternoon. We're starting Monday morning with temperatures in the mid-40s, but expect a quick warmup through the day.
