We're tracking heightened fire danger across central North Carolina this Monday, with dry conditions and gusty winds creating prime conditions for rapid wildfire spread. The National Weather Service has issued Special Weather Statements for the Piedmont and Sandhills regions. Today started mild with temperatures in the low 60s.
