Show Notes
Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the North Carolina Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 17th.
Folks, here's the deal. Mother Nature is running three different shows across the state today. Let's take a drive.
Start out west. Western North Carolina is absolutely stealing the spotlight. Sunny skies, highs near 60 degrees, and barely a whisper of rain. Winds out of the west at 5 miles an hour. If you've been itching to hit the trails, this's your green light.
Now head east into the Piedmont. Different vibe entirely. You're looking at 62 degrees, but rain is likely. Winds are calm at 3 miles an hour, so that umbrella won't be fighting you. Just grab it before you walk out the door.
Roll into the Triangle and it gets even soggier. Highs top out at 57 degrees with rain very likely all day. A gentle southern breeze at 2 miles an hour won't dry a thing. Backup plans are your best friend today.
Tonight things quiet down. Lows settle into the 40s as skies clear from west to east. By tomorrow, sunshine returns statewide. Temperatures step back a touch, mid 50s for the Piedmont and Triangle. The mountains hold steady near 60 degrees.
Here's your heads up for the week ahead. A warming trend builds through midweek, pushing highs back into the 60s. Rain chances stay low. And we're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight every day now. Air quality is excellent, so get outside and soak it up. This stretch is a gift before March gets any ideas.
One more thing. If you're enjoying these daily updates, share us with a neighbor. Word of mouth keeps this thing going.
That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Stay safe out there, folks!
