Known for directing real-life survival drama thrillers, Greengrass co-wrote the screenplay with Brad Ingelsby, based on the nonfiction 2021 book "Paradise: One Town's Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire" by Lizzie Johnson, which recounts the story of the 2018 Camp Fire —the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California's history. The film premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, where it received positive reviews, and is now playing in limited release before it's available to stream on Apple TV+ on October 3rd.
