Show Notes
Good morning. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly.
For today, you'll see partly sunny skies. High temperatures range from 50 degrees in North Jersey to 54 in Central Jersey. Down along the South Jersey coast, expect a high near 52. East winds will pick up this afternoon, gusting around 20 to 25 miles an hour.
As the sun sets. Tonight is when the action starts, rain moves in after 11 P.M. It becomes widespread overnight, north Jersey sees a low around 42. Central Jersey drops to 44, south Jersey stays mildest at 45. Watch for patchy fog developing by dawn.
Monday brings the risk for severe weather, highs climb into the mid 60s. Showers and thunderstorms are likely, some storms could be severe with damaging winds. The primary threat arrives Monday afternoon and evening.
Then comes the shock, a strong cold front crashes through Monday night. We could see rain mixing with snow before ending, much colder air rushes in for Tuesday. Highs crash to the low 40s, it will feel blustery with temperatures falling through the 30s.
Looking ahead, the rest of the week looks quiet but cool, while wednesday stays mostly sunny with a high near 40. We slowly warm back into the low 50s by Thursday and Friday.
See you this afternoon.
