Southern New Hampshire climbs to 28 degrees this afternoon. Central towns hit 27. The White Mountains touch 28 around noon, then the thermometer nosedives. Tonight? Southern valleys drop to 6 degrees. Central New Hampshire matches that. And the mountains? A bone cold 2 degrees by dawn. Now here's where it gets interesting. A quick moving system sneaks in by 5 A.M. Wednesday. Light snow statewide. Southern New Hampshire picks up 1 to 3 inches. Central regions see 1 to 2. The mountains get a dusting, but the real wildcard is Wednesday evening. Snow squalls could fire up in western New Hampshire. Fast. Visibility goes to nothing.
