Good morning. New Hampshire. I'm DJ Huzz.
That inch and a half of snow we got overnight? Already history. The sun came out to play. And temperatures are responding in a big way. We're hitting 51 degrees this afternoon across southern and central New Hampshire. Even the White Mountains are joining the thaw, reaching 51 degrees. That's running 21 degrees warmer than usual for early March. Enjoy it. Because winter hasn't packed its bags yet.
In the next 24 hours. Tonight stays quiet under a full moon. Partly cloudy skies settle in. Lows drop to 22 degrees in southern areas and 21 degrees up north. That's a 30-degree temperature swing from this afternoon's highs.
Thursday starts dry, but clouds thicken through the day. A backdoor cold front slides in from the east. It knocks highs back to 45 degrees south and 40 in the mountains. Rain arrives late afternoon.
Thursday night into Friday. That's when things get messy. Snow, sleet, freezing rain — the whole wintry cocktail. Expect 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation, especially north. Friday stays gloomy with lingering mixed precipitation.
The weekend turns the corner nicely. Saturday rebounds to 55 degrees. Sunday hits 54 with mostly sunny skies. Monday pushes to 58 degrees. Tuesday could reach 64 degrees. That's spring knocking at the door, folks. The equinox is just two weeks away. And we're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight each day. Sunrise today at 6:18, sunset at 5:39.
Soak up today's sunshine. It's a brief taste of spring before Thursday's wintry mix reminds us what month this really is. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.
That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
