Good morning. New Hampshire. I'm DJ Huzz.
Step outside right now and you're greeted by 43 degrees and drizzle wrapping up. That early morning rain? Done by 8 A.M. The White Mountains got hammered overnight — heaviest rain hit around 3 A.M. — but it's tapering off now.
Fog patches linger through sunrise, then we shift gears. Partly sunny skies take over statewide. And temperatures climb fast. Southern New Hampshire tops out at 57 degrees. Central areas hit 56. The mountains? They push to 58 before easing back to the low 50s this afternoon. Southwest winds gust to 25 miles an hour, giving the day a breezy, restless feel.
Here's where it gets interesting. Tonight brings a dramatic crash. Clear skies and light winds drop us to 30 or 31 degrees statewide by Monday morning. That's a 25-degree nosedive in less than 12 hours.
Monday stays gorgeous — mostly sunny with highs near 62 degrees. Monday night dips back to the low 30s. Tuesday cranks up the warmth even more. We're talking upper 60s, possibly nudging 68 degrees in southern areas under full sunshine. Wednesday shifts gears. Rain develops, highs in the mid 50s. Thursday brings the week's biggest system — rain likely, possibly heavy at times, with highs in the mid 50s before a cold front crashes temperatures to the low 20s Thursday night. Rain could mix with snow as that front moves through. Friday rebounds to the mid 40s with partly sunny skies. Saturday stays in the upper 40s to low 50s with another chance of rain.
Big temperature swings ahead, folks. Enjoy today's mild air while it lasts.
See you this afternoon.
