Show Notes
Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the New Hampshire Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 17th.
Folks, here's the deal. The southern half of the state is flirting with rain right now. Manchester, Concord, anywhere south of the notches has a decent chance of showers today. Head up into the White Mountains though? Dry and quiet. Barely a cloud with ambition.
Temperatures are sitting at 34 degrees from Manchester to Concord. The Whites are actually a tick warmer at 35 degrees. I know. The mountains beating the valleys. That's February for you. Winds are practically nonexistent down south. A light northeast breeze at 5 miles an hour. Up in the mountains? Dead calm. Not even enough to rustle a flag.
Tonight those showers fade fast. You're looking at dry skies and temps hovering right around freezing. Here's the thing. There's a waxing crescent moon out there tonight. Only about a quarter lit. Perfect for a quick winter walk if you bundle up.
Tomorrow we reset. Mid 30s statewide with a mix of sun and clouds. Air quality is good. If you've been putting off that hike in the Whites, Sunday's your window. Breathe deep up there.
Here's your heads up for the week ahead. We're locked into a mild pattern. Highs in the 30s, lows near freezing, and just enough sunshine to tease you. Nothing dramatic. Nothing dangerous. And daylight is stretching. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes a day now. Sunrise at 6:32 A.M., sunset at 5:20 P.M. Spring is creeping closer whether winter likes it or not.
So. If you're enjoying these daily updates, share us with a friend. Word of mouth keeps this thing going.
Stay safe out there. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
