Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. Welcome to the New Hampshire Weather Podcast for Wednesday, February 25th. Folks, grab that coffee and listen up. Ten degrees outside right now under a gray sky.. And that gray sky is about to dump snow on your morning drive. Southern New Hampshire gets hit first. Snow rolls in around 7 A.M. The heaviest band drops right around 8 A.M. One to three inches before it tapers off by noon. That's enough to make every on ramp and side street slippery. You'll want to add fifteen minutes to your commute. Seriously. Leave early or leave frustrated. Push north into the Lakes Region and central part of the state. Same storm, slightly different timing. Snow starts a touch later but hangs around longer into the early afternoon. Two to four inches up there. Roads stay greasy well past lunch. If you're driving Route 93 north of Concord, take it slow. Black ice loves those shaded stretches through the Hooksett tolls. Now the White Mountains. This is where the storm flexes. Three to five inches above the notches. Gusts pick up through Franconia and Crawford Notch, swirling that snow sideways. Visibility drops fast. If you're heading to Cannon or Bretton Woods.. The skiing will be fantastic by afternoon. Getting there's the adventure. Temperatures barely budge all day. Southern towns top out near 18 degrees. The mountains struggle to crack 12. Wind chills make it feel like single digits statewide. That's the kind of cold that bites through your gloves in thirty seconds. Tonight the snow exits and skies clear. Lows plunge to zero in the valleys. Minus 5 in the mountains. Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday bring sunshine but stay frigid. The weekend warms into the mid 20s with another possible snow maker lurking Sunday into Monday. I'll be tracking that one closely. Charge your phone tonight. Cold like this drains batteries faster than you'd think. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!
