Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. Step outside this morning and you'll feel it. That crisp ten degree air is a classic wake-up call. but here's the good news. We're gaining almost three minutes of daylight today. The sun is up before 6:30 A.M. and we're holding onto light until after 5:30 P.M. In the next 24 hours. It's a calm, clear start to the day. Expect plenty of sunshine across Southern and Central New Hampshire as highs climb to near 40 degrees. Up in the White Mountains, you'll see a high of 38 degrees. Winds stay light out of the south. Tonight, skies remain mostly clear. Southern areas drop to about 21 degrees. Central New Hampshire falls to 20 degrees. The White Mountains cool down to 17 degrees. Saturday looks fantastic. We're talking mostly sunny skies and a real warm-up. Southern and Central New Hampshire hit 48 degrees. The White Mountains reach 47 degrees. It's perfect weather for a walk if you ask me. Here's your heads-up for the week ahead. Sunday brings a chance of light snow with highs in the low 30s. Then, winter returns with a vengeance. Sunday night, temperatures plummet. The White Mountains drop to minus 3 degrees. Southern New Hampshire falls to 5 degrees above zero. Monday stays bitter cold with highs only in the 20s. We stay dry until midweek, when a mix of rain and snow moves in by Wednesday. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
