Lenny Duncan, former pastor, scholar and author of the new book, Dear Revolutionaries: A Field Guide for a World Beyond the Church, sits down with Tim to discuss their new book. Lenny describes their background in Lutheranism and how they left their pastoral position. Tim and Lenny discuss how white progressive denominations failed marginalized communities especially during the pandemic. They also discuss the background of Martin Luther and how it’s not possible to separate the secular from the religious. Tim and Lenny lastly discuss Christian fascism in America and what Christians should do to combat this ideology.
