Your evening Nebraska weather update
Dangerous fire conditions are developing across Nebraska this weekend, with Red Flag Warnings posted for multiple areas as dry air and gusty winds create a volatile combination for rapid fire spread. This Saturday morning started cool with temperatures around 44 degrees at 6 A.M., but we're heading for a warm afternoon high of 79 degrees by 5 P.M. Those south-southwest winds currently running about 11 miles per hour will strengthen through the day, especially during peak heating hours between noon and 6 P.M.
