Your evening Nebraska weather update
Critical fire weather conditions are gripping Nebraska this Saturday evening, with Red Flag Warnings blanketing much of the state as temperatures soar near 90 degrees and winds gusting over 35 miles per hour. Right now we're hitting our peak heat around 89 degrees, but big changes are coming overnight. Southwest winds will continue through about 3 A.M., then shift dramatically to the north-northwest as a strong cold front barrels through.
