Yes. I know I have back issues that require nerve ablations…just had them ablated(?) Tuesday. Yes. I know I’m 63. Yes. I know it’s over 90 degrees in the shade here. No. I will NOT be switching to a driving mower anytime soon. Why? When my Dad & Brother stopped using push mowers, they gradually…not too gradually, lost the use of their legs for walking. Were there other things involved? Sure! But I won’t take that chance! Push mower until the white coats tell me different! Genetics are genetics. What a day! Mowed the neighbor’s lawn. He’s away on business, so I told him I’d look after his yard. Just had to wait till my back was fixed and ready to mow. Tried again at fermenting. This time cucumbers and a jar of nectarines. I’m pretty sure I’ve got the formula for fermenting down…1 and a half teaspoons of salt per one cup of water. I used the wrong kind of cukes…they got mushy. And the nectarines were too ripe and melted to juice water, stringy fibers, and floating nectarine skins. Smaller cukes and a bit less ripe for the fruit…next experiment will be to ferment Asparagus and a jar of Brussels Sprouts this weekend. So, yesterday’s nerve ablation went well. One driver in the Merritt Island area almost changed that! Ablation done…Lori driving home…anesthesia so I can’t. We are in the left-hand turn lane at Courtney Parkway and 520…it is a TWO lane left turn and we are in the outside lane. I look to my right…I’m in the passenger seat. A bright red pick-up is sitting so close to us that I could NOT have opened my door if I wanted to. That truck is in the straight only lane but NOT going on the green light, holding up traffic behind it. I look behind us and there is plenty of room behind us…but NO! This asshat wants to be where we are. Mind you, there are vehicles to our left in the inside turn lane. Said asshat has no turn signal and when the turn arrow changes to green, just turns and nearly clips our front end, as if we are invisible! Yet visible enough to get next to us in the NO TURN lane. I had to tell Lori to break as to let said asshat get by us with no collision. Moral of story. Leave earlier or wait your turn where you are supposed to and DON’T BE AN ASSHAT! Almost didn’t do a podcast today. Last night’s pain and cramps were so intense I had to take too many gabapentin to make it go away…and gabapentin brings on the sleepies for me. Slept straight from 8PM to 1AM had to get up…slept again from 111AM to 7AM. Did NOT want to repeat the sleepies, so, I’ve refrained from taking any extra gabapentin this morning or afternoon. Two weeks ago, I had the initial procedure injection of lidocaine into the pain sights of my damaged spinal nerves.
