Students at a Pennsylvania middle school have opened a time capsule buried in the year 2000, discovering magazines featuring Britney Spears, old mobile phones, toys and other technology from the turn of the century. The young students examined items like early mobile phones that could only display numbers and bulky devices that couldn't send text messages. A teacher who was present when the capsule was originally buried explains the tradition helps students understand they all have something valuable to contribute to future generations.
