The latest ABS data has revealed that Australian women are having children later in life with the figure for females in their early 40s, more than doubling over the past three decades. The research also shows that the nation's overall fertility rate is falling well below population replacement levels. So, what's driving this shift and is age really just a number when it comes to pregnancy?
