A Detroit bakery called Homestead Kitchen Artesian Cakery went viral after posting an AI-generated image of an unsettling lamb cake as an April Fool's joke on their Instagram. The prank caused such confusion and backlash that the bakery had to clarify it wasn't real, but the overwhelming response led them to actually create and sell multiple versions of the bizarre grey-tinged lamb cakes to excited customers.
