CONVERSATIONS WITH DAPHNE & EMILY: In this episode, Emily shares about a dream she had and how she woke up with this phrase: "Connecting with God is everything." Together, they explore this topic and what it means to be present but maybe not fully connected.

Call it whatever you want: guilt, condemnation, regret, remorse... or sin-conciousness. The truth is, God isn't the one behind any of it. Sin-consciousness is real but it's not your identity in Christ. And once you see and understand these things in the Word of God, the sooner you'll walk in the righteousness God has already given you!

I promise you haven't read the story of the Prodigal Son like this before... In crazy, Jesus-fasion, He answers the Pharisees and religious leaders' criticisms with a parable. On purpose, Jesus told them a story that would agitate them, highlight their faulty theology, and reveal God's NEW covenant all at once. And we need to understand it too.

CONVERSATIONS WITH DAPHNE & EMILY: In our last podcast, we talked about faith in the blood of Jesus. And there was so much more on our heart-- so we picked up where we left off! What we can't do for ourselves, God did for us through Christ!

CONVERSATIONS WITH DAPHNE & EMILY: Wow, what an amazing discussion today-- if you've ever had questions about the power of the blood of Jesus, or simply wanted to understand it better, then listen in! Faith in the blood is faith in Jesus!

CONVERSATIONS WITH DAPHNE & EMILY: What is faith? Sometimes we think we know, but if we view it wrong or unintentionally base it on experience or feelings, faith can be hard. What we're after is genunine faith-- not wonky faith. We really enjoyed this week's discussion and hope it'll encourage and strengthen your faith!

Have you read the story of Ruth and Boaz? There is a significant spiritual parallel to our lives in this short story of love, adoption, and redemption! God put it in our Bible to help us see ourselves and understand the lavish love of God. Like Boaz, God had everything -- accept a bride -- and He chose us. Better yet, He redeemed us.

We need to be celebrating our freedom every day! And that's not hard when you see everything through the LENS of the finished work of Christ and remember sin is no longer your master. Because "if the Son makes you free, you shall be [unquestionably] free indeed" (John 8:36)! In this teaching, you'll learn how to live in the true freedoms of our righteousness in Christ.

CONVERSATIONS WITH DAPHNE & EMILY: Picking up where we left off, we're back in 1 Peter, talking about our salvation-- that sometimes faces challenges, trials, and setbacks. But the Bible says all of those things produce in us inexpressible joy! To be clear, the trials aren't always fun, but what God is doing in and through them is more valuable than all of life's possessions. Tune in to hear more!

Sometimes the Bible can feel overwhelming but it's not meant to be a religious exercise. Instead, God's Word is an invitation to relationship. Jesus is the Word. And every word is important. Join us as we explain and use 1 Peter 1 as an example.

God has ways that are not our ways. He has thoughts that are not our thoughts. He sees and He does not abandon. And He loves with an everlasting love. In this teaching from 2018, Daphne shares a personal testimony from her journal of a time when God revealed and did a bigger work than she knew she needed. It's a testimony of God's grace.

CONVERSATIONS WITH DAPHNE & EMILY: As promised, we are excited to share Emily's story with you. Raised in a Christian home and surrounded by friends at church and in youth group are all great things. But nothing can replace the realization of our personal need for Jesus. In this episode, Emily shares her testimony of being completely lost at 18 while out on her own attending bible school. And yet, in God's perfect plan, she found what her heart desperately needed-- what we all need.

What you need to remember is, unhindered prayer is unhindered fellowship. At Creation, God made mankind for fellowship. And although that fellowship was broken, Jesus gave us access again-- to dream together, talk together, create together. However, there are things that can hinder this access. In this episode, Daphne identifies areas that can hold us back from true fellowship with God.
