51-year-old Ronald Platt was thrilled to be invited boating with his dear friend David Davis. Davis was a semi-retired Canadian businessman who lived in Woodham Walter, a village about 80 kilometers northeast of London in the English county of Essex, with his young wife and two beautiful daughters.
