Show Notes
In this episode, I am joined by Sydney Cope, our newest physical therapist at Kinetic Sports Medicine and Performance for a long overdue podcast. Sydney has been with us for a little over 6 months now and has been a great addition to our team!
Sydney moved to Milwaukee from Baltimore, MD and has a background as a division 1 lacrosse player and now is an avid runner. Today we discuss:
- How she got into physical therapy
- Advice for any athletes that want to play college sports
- Her experience with the mental side of injury
- Common strategies she uses when treating runners
- Running injury myths that drive her crazy!
- Tips for students that want to be a sports physical therapist
If you haven’t gotten to know Sydney at our clinic yet, this is a great opportunity to get to know her and she shares a lot of helpful information for runners, athletes dealing with injury or playing college sports.
