Popeyes is set to appear in Auckland's Takanini in April.
Auckland University nutritionist Sally Mackay told Mike Hosking that it's another addition to an already saturated fast food market.
She doesn't think New Zealand needs any more fast food chains, but the market will dictate whether that's the case.
