Show Notes

The US Supreme Court has heard oral arguments in an attempt to rid the Colorado ballot of Donald Trump.

Voters claim he participated in an insurrection during the 2021 Capitol attack on January 6, and therefore should be disqualified.

US correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking that the outcome could take away power from voters, and both sides of the political game don't want the Court to lay down a broad ruling.

He says Americans don't rate the court highly at the moment, with approval sitting at just 41%.

A decision on Trump's fate is expected next month.
