The United States democratic party has reached record low numbers in favourability polls.
Many within the party have said their leaders should publicly stand against President Donald Trump.
The party is polling at just 29%.
US Correspondent Richard Arnold talks to Mike Hosking about the reason for this, and the fatal tornadoes that ripped through six states.
