Christopher Luxon says Ukraine cannot lose the war against Russia.

NATO leaders have called China a decisive enabler of Russia's war on Ukraine.

Luxon's chaired the Indo-Pacific Four meeting, NATO-aligned countries New Zealand, Australia, Japan and South Korea.

Luxon also called out China's role in supporting the rebuilding of Russia's industrial base.

He says they don't want to see any country supporting the Russia war machine and it's a conversation he raised with Chinese Premier Li when he was in New Zealand.

But China has pushed back against NATO's stance.

A spokesperson says Beijing put forward a 12-point paper more than a year ago that set out general principles for ending the war.

It received a lukewarm reception at the time in both Russia and Ukraine.
