Ep 13PERMISSION TO GLOW with KC Carter

I first met Kristoffer "KC" Carter at Camp GLP, a weekend long adult camp, founded by the fantastic Jonathan Fields. It was an incredible weekend of yoga and fitness, creative and career workshops, insightful speakers, and also... just a shit ton of fun! And keeping the container for all of this to occur was this incredibly energetic and engaging guy, and I couldn't stop thinking "I not only want whatever that guy's got, but also DO what he DOES!" Well it turns out, what KC has "got", and what he "does", are a lot of things. A yogi and meditation teacher, musician, mentor, and family man, he manages to bridge the worlds of spirituality and business in fun and inventive ways. As a corporate coach, his company This Epic Life offers executives the tools to live as fully and exceptionally as possible, and his new book, "Permission to Glow: A spiritual guide to epic leadership", invites us all to courageously do the same. KC is someone I admire in his ability to bring all parts of himself, to everything he does. And he does it all while embracing his light (and his dark), in a continuous quest, maybe the noblest and highest quest for us all: A life of integrity, integration, and inspiration. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I enjoyed having it. Inward and Upward,Christian Correa@connectingwithchristian

E

Whether it's his highly successful Photography Business, the mentoring program "The Art Of Six Figures", that he cofounded, or his lifelong love of martial arts, Beau Ridge does everything with a commitment, courage, and candor that is truly inspiring. Things like "discipline" and "Integrity" aren't just buzzwords for him, they're actually the foundation on which his success lies. Ep 9THE CONNECTION ECONOMY with Jon Henderson

E

Jon Henderson is no stranger to our motto, "A Call To Connect". He's been loudly, unapologetically making that call for over two decades, bringing thousands of people together at a time, from all walks of life, for events that range from craft beer and music festivals, tattoo conventions, a summer seafood fest, and even a halloween themed, lakeside fright fest! And he does it all with a small, family owned and operated production company, Good Time Tricycle , and a fiercely loyal group of partners, staff, volunteers, and fans. His insistence on integrity, ingenuity, and harnessing the power of community were a perfect fit for "The Mighty Middle", so I was excited to dive in with him, and share his well earned insights with all of you.Hope you enjoy!Inward and Upward, Christian Correa@connectingwithchristian

Ep 7REDEMPTION SONG with Brittney Kozek

E

At 17, Brittney Kozek got to live out what many would consider a dream. Discovered by a successful music producer, she was plucked form a small NJ town, and whisked off to Los Angeles, California, for what she hoped would be her shot at the big time. But it never happened. This episode is Brittney's sharing of that story, one she's kept secret for most of her adult life. Listen along to the meteoric rise, the equally fast fall, and how she's picked up the pieces, built something better, and returned for a second chance.

Ep 6NEVER TOO LATE with Matt Smith

E

Matt Smith is a long time friend. And in that time, I've been constantly amazed at the way he carries himself with such courage, candor, and confidence. So it was great (and comforting!) to hear that these attributes are not just some god given gift, but simply the result of intentional thoughts and actions, ones he freely shares with us this week! Ep 5THE CANCER OF CANCELLATION with Rachel Nichols

E

What happens when you wake up to being cancelled? To find out that overnight, thanks to a case of mistaken identity, you've been (mis)labeled a racist, and attacked by strangers online. Well, there's no better person to ask than my guest this episode, Rachel Nichols. A successful actress and long time friend, this very thing is happening to her as I type this. As a well known ESPN Reporter is mired in controversy, this mix up has landed her directly in the belly of the beast known as "cancel culture", and given her a close up view of what we can do, to slow its toxic spread. Ep 4GETTING LOST ON PURPOSE with Dan Prevette

E

Dan Prevette embodies everything "The Mighty Middle" stands for. Infinitely curious, compassionate, and courageous, he's a giant man with a giant heart, and it was an honor to speak with him about life, learning to listen for "the call", and how fame and popularity are a terrible indicator of "purpose". In this episode, we mention "The Hero's Journey" , which this video does a good job of breaking down: Connect with us further: https://linktr.ee/TheMightyMiddle@themightmiddlepodcast@connectingwithchristian

Ep 3CHANGE WHAT WE NORMALIZE with Nate Evans Jr.

E

Nate Evans Jr. is only getting started. Still young and hungry, His unshakable faith, and background in sports and fitness, make him a powerful force for whatever he puts his mind toward. And right now, his mind is on one thing: Changing what we normalize.A two time author, his second book, "I Love You: Letters of Love from Black Men to Black Boys", was a best seller, and served to show the power that collaboration and compassion can offer us. It seeks to affirm the spirit and well being of black and brown youth in the community, by addressing the stigmas around mental health, masculinity, and other things that he believes keep them from accessing their true potential and purpose. We talk about how he confronted his battles with mental health issues, where he finds faith and friendship, and his incredible ability to pump out social media content. (ALSO, I learned in editing that Nate is an incredibly passionate speaker, his microphone is incredibly good at picking up table vibrations, and they're incredibly hard to remove!)

Ep 2THE POWER OF CHOICE with Allie Nunzi

E

Allie Nunzi is a powerhouse. As the successful owner of multiple yoga studios , a consulting company, and a brand new baby girl, she definitely has a LOT on her plate. But lucky for her, she's also got a lifetime of wellness, mindfulness and management experience, to help her stay focused and functioning at her best. A dear friend of mine, we've spent countless nights conversing about life, passion, and purpose, as well as how to best use the tools we have to serve the community at large. This is essentially one of those conversations, minus her amazingly comfy couch, as well as one of the amazing cocktails her husband whips up when I visit... During the episode, she mentions the Incredible Suzanne Conrad, and the work they do with Lightyear Leadership. Definitely check them out if you're in the market for some powerful, practical goal and vision work. Also, a phenomenal resource on conscious community building is mentioned, Parker J Palmer's "A Hidden Wholeness" Hope you enjoy the episode, and I'll see you in "The Mighty Middle" -Inward and Upward, Christian CorreaConnect with me @:@themightymiddlepodcast@connectingwithchristian

Welcome to The Mighty Middle

trailerE

Let's face it: Things are weird. Everywhere. There's a disease of disconnect that is slowly permeating almost every facet of our world. And the constant fear and distrust is, in some ways, tearing at the fabric of our lives, both as individuals, and as a society. So my mission is simple: To help create a "Culture of Connection". To share stories of interesting, inspiring individuals and ideas, and hopefully inspire our listeners to move in towards one another, and up to our highest potential. To honor the things that serve to bring us together, instead of tear us apart. And with that, "The Mighty Middle" was born. (Well actually, it's always been there.) Because it's not just a group of people, working together to create a better future. It's also where we're headed. To our own center. Back to our own balanced, natural state of wellness, that constantly calls us forth. Where our power and purpose lives. Welcome to the Mighty Middle. I'm thrilled to have you here.
