Show Notes
Good morning. Michigan. I'm Aaron Jolly.
You woke up to fog and rain. That damp 41 degrees outside? It cuts right through you. Visibility's down to a quarter mile in spots, but the fog lifts by late morning. Don't get comfortable. Showers arrive this afternoon. Then thunderstorms roll in tonight. And the National Weather Service isn't messing around — marginal severe weather risk through 10 P.M. Damaging winds and large hail are possible. Southwest Michigan along I-94? You're in the bullseye. An isolated tornado can't be ruled out either.
Southeast Michigan sees widespread fog through mid-morning. High near 55 degrees this afternoon, but temperatures drop as rain showers develop around 4 P.M. Thunderstorms fire up between 7 P.M. and 10 P.M. Tonight. Overnight low around 49 degrees, then temps climb back to 59 degrees by early Saturday morning.
West Michigan gets hit harder. Fog clears by 11 A.M., then thunderstorms arrive around 1 P.M. High near 65 degrees. Tonight's the main event — showers and storms through 9 P.M., then another round between 4 A.M. and 7 A.M. Saturday. Heavy rain possible, up to three-quarters of an inch. Low around 57 degrees.
Northern Michigan sees rain showers starting around 1 P.M. High near 56 degrees. Showers continue tonight with thunderstorms likely after 7 P.M. Low around 48 degrees.
Saturday brings another round of storms early, then showers taper off by afternoon. Highs reach the mid-60s statewide before a cold front drops temperatures. Sunday turns sunny with highs in the low 50s. Beautiful weather Monday with highs in the mid-60s. Another storm system arrives Tuesday night into Wednesday — rain mixing with snow as colder air filters in.
