Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. Folks, a clipper system racing across Ontario is doing us a favor tonight. It's pulling warm air up from the south. and right now Michigan is sitting pretty at 56 degrees. That's a 25 degrees jump from this morning's freeze. Soak up every last minute of it. Because this warmth has an expiration date. In the next 24 hours. Southeast Michigan is basking in 54 degrees under sunny skies. Breezy, with gusts to 21 miles an hour. The front slides through tonight, bringing rain showers between 8 P.M. and 1 A.M. Lows settle near 34 degrees. Nothing dramatic. Just a wet goodbye to the mild air. Slide over to Grand Rapids and you've got 52 degrees. Mostly sunny. Gusts to 25 miles an hour. Tonight stays calmer and clearer, dropping to 26 degrees. Now up north. That's where things get wild. Highs hit 53 degrees, but southwest winds are howling. Gusts to 35 miles an hour across northern Michigan. Tonight brings rain and snow showers with lows crashing to 17 degrees. The Eastern UP is under a Wind Advisory from 7 P.M. To 4 A.M. With gusts to 50 miles an hour. Keweenaw and Houghton Counties? A High Wind Warning. Gusts could hit 60. Tie down anything that isn't bolted to the ground. Saturday delivers the reality check. Southeast Michigan drops to 41 degrees. Snow likely after 7 P.M. Saturday night. Half an inch to two inches by Sunday morning. West Michigan sees snow showers develop after 1 P.M. One to two inches possible. Up north? Highs near 22 degrees with one to three inches of snow Saturday night. Sunday is the coldest day statewide. Highs barely crack the upper 20s. Looking ahead. Monday brings sunshine near freezing. Then the pattern flips. Rain chances arrive Tuesday. and Wednesday through Friday turns wet and milder. Highs climb back into the mid 40s and 50s.
