Maryland faces elevated fire danger today as dry conditions combine with gusty northwest winds. The National Weather Service has issued Special Weather Statements for the Eastern Shore and multiple regions statewide, warning of rapid wildfire spread potential. This morning started chilly with temperatures bottoming out at 34 degrees around 8 A.M.
