Imam S.T. Ibrahim converted to Islam in 1971 and served as Imam of Masjid Umar on the South Side of Chicago from 1973 until 2009. His son, Gemali Ibrahim is a case worker at IMAN's Green ReEntry Program.
Green ReEntry provides transitional housing, life skills education, and sustainable construction training for citizens who are formerly incarcerated as well as for high risk youth.
