Dozens of people were injured after a massive fire engulfed a police station in the Egyptian city of Ismailia early Monday. The fire, which began around 3 a.m. (GMT), was eventually brought under control by approximately 5:20 a.m. (GMT), as reported by witnesses and local media. The health ministry confirmed at least 38 injuries, with 12 individuals receiving on-site treatment and 26 others hospitalized due to smoke inhalation. Seven of the injured were treated and discharged. Unverified videos circulating on social media depicted the city's security directorate consumed by flames, and witnesses noted that fire crews initially struggled to contain the blaze.
