Fasting allows our hearts to be realigned for the glory of God, for the mission of God, and in anticipation for the coming of God. Matthew 25:31-46 is about your purpose and priority in the kingdom of God. This is a future vision that should impact today. The works spelled out here are not about earning salvation, but rather the evidence of a redeemed person (Galatians 5:22, Ephesians 2:10).
