EThe Chargers sweep the season series with the Oakland Raiders and get another “boring” win on the road. Garrett and Jamie are here to discuss three important storylines from their win on Sunday. They answer questions about the bizarre penalty on Russell Okung, how the Chargers will replace linebacker Denzel Perryman and if that was the last we’ve seen of Perryman in a Chargers uniform. The game felt like it was never in doubt and a lot of that had to do with the play of the defense and how that unit is clicking right now. They talk about Melvin Gordon’s outstanding game, the way head coach Anthony Lynn has changed the culture and an unsung hero on the defense so far this season. Learn more about your ad choices. EThe Chargers get a hard fought win on the road in Seattle against the Seahawks. Garrett and Jamie are here to discuss three important storylines from their win on Sunday. The guys discuss all that plus why cutting Drew Kaser was wrong, some questionable calls and some praise for a position coach. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 8Three Drink Minimum #8: Nice win from the best team in LA
ENever. In. Doubt. That is my honest feeling about the game yesterday. If you know who makes an extra point, the final drive that Seattle has doesn’t matter. Because you know who didn’t, we had to pretend to be on the edge of our seats like it was a close game. I actually thought the defense played a lot better than the score indicates. Talked a little bit about that. Showed love to Desmond King, but really the defense flying around in general. The first drive was no Bueno, but they cleaned up their tackling and for about 3.5 quarters of the game the defense was really, really good. Seattle was 4-15 on third down and even after that final drive, they only averaged 4.7 yards per play. Don’t be fooled by the final score. Bounced around a little and answered some questions. Because this was recorded yesterday, we talked about you know who a bit and why he was still on the roster. Plenty of people thought the Chargers weren’t good because they hadn’t played anyone. So we talked about the schedule a bit and when the next time they’d lose. The next time they’ll lose will be in March when they lose Tyrell Williams in free agency. Offensively, the first two drives were as easy as the team has made it look all year. Two long drives averaging 13 yards a pop. The weeks off really served Melvin Gordon well. He looked fresh and fast. He played well. Philip Rivers continued to be a master in the pocket. Five in a row. This is fun. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 5Rest of the West with Kyle Posey
EWith Matthew Stanley on the bye week today’s Rest of the AFC West pod has a special guest, Kyle Posey. We recorded this the night of the trade deadline so we recapped all the deals that went down. From how Demaryius Thomas leaving impacts the Broncos moving forward, to how the other moves made shapes the rest of the AFC. It’s always fun to poke fun at the Raiders. It’s low-hanging fruit, but that doesn’t mean it’s still not delicious. We finished up with some predictions for the division. It’s a two team race. We were both optimistic that the Chiefs and Chargers would make the playoffs. I am a little more optimistic than Kyle. There’s a lot of division talk stuffed in between. Ep 162The Lightning Round Podcast #162: Bye Week Listener Q&A
EThe Chargers are on their bye week and Garrett and Jamie took a whole slew of listener questions for this weeks’ podcast. They graded General Manager Tom Telesco and Head Coach Anthony Lynn, what the reception would be if the team moved to London and the Most Value Players after the first half of the season. The guys answer listener questions on if they are sold on the kicker Micheal Badgley, if Derwin James is the favorite to win defensive rookie of the year, if we should be worried about Joey Bosa’s upcoming potential contract extension plus a whole lot more. Ep 7Score More #7: Five trades the Chargers should make
EThis is Episode #7 of the Score More podcast! The Chargers are 5-2 going into the bye week yet there is still room for improvement. There are position groups that could get upgraded on both offense and defense and in this episode there are some hypothetical players who could do just that. With the trade deadline approaching, here are five potential trade targets. Garrett gives his short list of realistic moves that would improve the Chargers roster for the second half of the season. Ep 161The Lightning Round Podcast #161: The Chargers are a “good” football team
EThe Chargers get a thrilling 20-19 win across the pond against the Tennessee Titans. Garrett and Jamie are here to discuss three important storylines from their win on Sunday. They talk about how Philip Rivers is an early MVP candidate, how good Adrian Phillips has been the last few weeks and a glimpse into the Chargers potential wide receivers going into the 2019 season. The Chargers had some coaching shortcomings in London and made some costly mistakes but the team ultimately pulled out an ugly win in less than ideal circumstances and it's proving they are a “good” football team. Ep 7Three Drink Minimum #7: Winners win. Nothing else matters.
EBack with another victory podcast. These are fun. This one was a roller-coaster. There was plenty to take away from this. Not all good. We actually start out with a question asking what’s going on with Case Hayward. I think it’s as simple as he’s not making plays. He was lucky that Corey Davis dropped a pass on a key third down. It’s pretty clear that the defense is going to have to rely on turnovers and hold teams to field goals. A lot of hope with Austin Ekeler in this one with not a lot of production. To me, it didn’t seem like the offense game-planned for Ekeler to be the lead back. Didn’t seem like there were any adjustments. It’s clear that the team missed Melvin Gordon. They were not prepared to play without him and it showed. I think the Titans offense had a good game-plan. Keep the ball out of Rivers hands. They had five drives of seven or more plays. The Chargers didn’t do themselves any favors by missing tackles. They had to have missed 15 tackles as a team. It was rough. We go through the game, answer questions, and bounce around from the topics at hand during the game. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 6Score More #6: Is this matchup vs. the Titans in London a “trap game?”
EThis is Episode #6 of the Score More podcast! Garrett is breaking down the Chargers upcoming opponent and this week it is the Tennessee Titans. We will go through both injury reports and talk about the effect it will have for the game on Sunday. Ep 160The Lightning Round Podcast: Chargers vs. Browns - Is Melvin Gordon a Top 10 running back?
EThe Chargers get a 38-14 road win against a pesky Cleveland Browns team. Garrett and Jamie are here to discuss three important storylines from their win on Sunday. They take some questions about Michael Davis’ increased playing time, whether they prefer this current Anthony Lynn team or the Mike McCoy playoff team plus they officially rule on if Melvin Gordon is a Top 10 running back. The guys discuss how both Chargers coordinators dominated the playcalling on Sunday, Tyrell Williams unbelievable game, how the Special Teams took a step back this week, and how they got a lot from players up and down the depth chart again. Ep 6Three Drink Minimum #6: Is Tyrell Williams the best WR in the NFL?
EWoo buddy. How about that. Tyrell Williams had his best game of the year. He came down with contested catches. He made plays that we all hope he makes. It wasn't just him. Melvin Gordon was a monster. Desmond King had three huge plays. The team was rolling. In the game recap, I go down the line and talk about how the team played their most complete game of the year. You know how you eliminate putting the onus on your special teams? You score touchdowns. Nobody is talking about missed field goals this morning because the kicker kicked five extra points as opposed to five field goals. Spoke about some of the defensive substitutions as well and how that really helped the Chargers get off of the field. I probably sound like a broken record but the team is at their best when they have all their defensive backs on the field. They fly around. They make plays. I liked how the Chargers came out of the gate reminding us that Russell Okung makes a difference. Back to back runs behind him went for 16 yards apiece. I know Myles Garrett got the best of Okung a couple times but Garrett does that. The team needs Okung. Titans on deck. Should make it four in a row with the way the Chargers are playing. Go team! EThe Chargers get a win in the division with a 26-10 victory over the Oakland Raiders. Garrett and Jamie are here to discuss three important storylines from their win on Sunday.
