One of the characteristics of the human race is that we are always predisposed to improve. We have gone through one revolution and another and still when you look at the projections in robotics, AI, Nano tech and so on, we can still be better.
Take a look at it from the individual perspective. There is a great chance that I can be a better man. I can be a better father, husband, CEO and so on. This, however, does not happen arbitrarily. There has to be a conscious choice made towards that.
