Show Notes
She’s a key part of the AEW roster – a gender-fluid, transfeminine performer who uses she/ her and they/them pronouns and wrestles in the men’s division. In fact, Sonny Kiss defies definition in so many ways – and while Sonny entered AEW as the self-proclaimed ‘Concrete Rose’, the wrestler has evolved as both a person and a competitor during her more than three years in the spotlight, including the more villainous persona we see at the moment!
She’s someone we’ve wanted to have on the podcast for a long time – especially as you know we love professional wrestling! – and today, we’re making it happen in a big way with an absolutely superb episode.
We talk about her background in dance and performing art; how she got her break in professional wrestling; some of her most memorable moments in AEW; how she came to terms with her sexuality and then her gender identity; her goals for the future; and how she enjoys switching off – along with so, so much more.
If you love wrestling, you’ll love this conversation – and if wrestling isn’t your thing, you’ll still love this chat with a brilliant individual!
