Show Notes
On today’s show, we’re all at sea – as we find out more about the group that's been the home of LGBTQ+ sailing in the UK for more than forty years.
David Mason is the Commodore of the Sailing and Cruising Association, which was meant to be celebrating its ruby anniversary last year.
The pandemic meant that couldn’t happen, but plans are afoot for a proper celebration when restrictions allow.
And we thought it was only right to have David on the show to talk more about the Association’s history; how he got involved with it; the Gay Games; the importance of the social aspect; and so much more.
And if you’re a sailing fan, there’s a little bonus at the end – as we look back at our chat with Alan Baser, one of the most respected judges in world sailing, about what it’s like to officiate at an Olympic Games.
